Please, introduce yourself and your business. (Tell us about your business)

My name is Robin Khokhar. An Entrepreneur who loves traveling. I help people to grow their Business doing digital marketing, SEO and development. I run a guest blogging site named Tricky Enough and a digital marketing agency named "Enough Clicks".

How did you start your business?

"I was working for a digital marketing agency in Amritsar but getting paid less. I will not mention the company's name but I was helping them make 20 times more than my salary. so at that moment, I decided to start a Blog named Tricky Enough. When I was able to make good money that was in the year 2018, I also started a digital marketing agency in Amritsar and later in 2023 opened a new branch in London by the name "enough clicks".

How much revenue was your best year? (include margin if possible)

I have Grown over the years. So, The best revenue year was in2023 and I am going strong in 2024 as well. I made roughly from $40kto $55K in that year.

When did you notice traction when building your business? The “Oh S**t!” moment, what did that feel like?

In 2018, I got a boost in my website traffic and made nearly $20k that year. For first 3 years I made nothing, Or I can say I was making enough to put food on the table.

What was your childhood like? Were you slinging candy on the playground?

I grew up in Amritsar, Punjab, India. I like playing football and cricket. I also love watching movies which I still love watching. I miss those days as a child.

What has been your best marketing marketing channel?

I have used almost every marketing channel and they were all effective. Like email marketing, SEO, Social media marketing and SEM. But SEO has worked really well for me and helped me to achieve more organic traffic.

How many attempts at building something did you make before you found what you’re working on now? Did you always have an entrepreneurial drive?

I will not say attempts but it was consistent effort that led to success for me. I might have tried different strategies, some worked tremendously good for me and some were just a waste of time.

What is your biggest overhead expense?

The Biggest expense for me is related to PR. It is really costly to get thir with PR links and PR mentions. Without Digital PR it is hard these days to get on the Top.

What’s the most important skill you’ve learned?

The most important thing that I have learned is Management. I can do seo, blogging, social media marketing and other things but being a business owner I had to learn Management. And management is the key to success.

What do you spend the majority of your time doing, in a given week?

I do have a busy schedule. I may not be working on any projects myself but I need to manage work. And above all do a quality check to see if the work done is good enough or not.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when first starting your business?

We all learn with time and I don't think that knowing something would give different results. But I wish i had more money to invest at the right time.

What’s a big problem you’ve faced as a business owner and what were the emotions behind it?

To be Honest, working as an entrepreneur is hard and achieving something is like giving up other desires. We can't achieve anything without discipline. One has to sacrifice a few things on the path to success.

I have always faced problems in finding the right people for my organization. Having the right people and doing the right work has always been difficult for me till the date.

What is your best advice for someone who wants to build a business but feels completely stuck?

Thinking about doing business will not help at all. One, you need to be an executioner to become successful in business. I will say start a business and you will achieve things slowly. Working as an entrepreneur has its own reward, if you start a business you might not get the desired results in the beginning but hard work will surely pay off.
